    The Lion is the Lamb

Only through Humility is there Victory.

“Then I noticed in the right hand of the one seated upon the throne a book filled with writing both inside and on its back, and it was sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel who called out in a loud voice, “Who is fit to open the book and break its seals? And no one in Heaven or upon the earth or under the earth was able to open the book, or even to look at it. I began to weep bitterly because no one could be found fit to open the book, or even to look at it, when one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the lion from the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has won the victory and is able to open the book and break its seven seals. Then, standing in the very centre of the throne and of the four living creatures and of the elders, I saw a Lamb that seemed to have been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God and are sent out into every corner of the earth. Then he came and took the book from the right hand of him who was seated upon the throne”. Revelation 5: 1-7 JB Phillips

“When he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp, and they had golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. They sang a new song and these are the words they sang, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5: 8-10 JB Phillips

Let these words sink in for a moment. “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for you were slain and have redeemed us to God by your blood”.

The scroll in Revelation 5 is a divine document held in the right hand of God, sealed with seven seals, that represents God’s final plan of judgment, redemptive history, and the restoration of creation.

The Elder describes a lion but when John looks, he sees a Lamb.

The two symbols do not represent two different figures; rather, they combine to describe Jesus’ dual identity:  The Lion symbolizes His royal power, strength, and victory as the Messiah and King from the line of Judah. The Lamb symbolizes how He achieved that victory, His sacrificial humility is the very source of His kingly triumph.

Who Can Open It: Only Jesus Christ—depicted as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” and the “Lamb who was slain”—is found legally and morally worthy to take the scroll and break its seals, initiating the events of the end times and the fulfillment of God’s kingdom.

It was through Humility that the Son of God would step down from the throne and become a person that through His death that we are able to be redeemed to God!

It was not through military victory, power or strength that He overcame Satan. It was only through Humility that He became a servant to save us.

This is giving us an example of how each of us should live our lives today.  We are to be both the Lion and the Lamb.

We are to be a Lion in our strength and dedication to God.

Key Traits of a Lions Attitude:

    • Confidence & Self-Belief: Lions do not seek constant approval from others; they walk with natural authority.

    • Relentless Focus: When pursuing a goal, they finish what they start and push through obstacles rather than giving up.

    • Courage Under Pressure: They stand their ground, face challenges head-on, and do not back down when outnumbered or tired.

    • Leadership over Following: Instead of blending into the herd, a lion mindset takes charge of its own path and sets its own direction.

    • Resilience from Failure: Even though hunts often fail multiple times, lions adapt, keep trying, and maintain their drive

Key Traits of a Lamb Attitude:

    • Innocence and Gentleness: In many traditions, a lamb represents purity, vulnerability, and peace, which are qualities closely tied to unconditional love.

    • Divine Love and Sacrifice: In Christianity, the lamb symbolizes the Lamb of God, representing divine compassion, forgiveness, and the ultimate sacrifice for humanity.

    • Dedication: Total focus on the Shepherd. Total dependence upon the Shepherd. Knows the Shepherd’s Voice.

    • Control: Gives total control to the Shepherd.

Who are the people we are to appear too as both the Lion and the Lamb? “Every tribe and tongue and people and nation”. Revelation 5:9 KJV

It does not make a difference who or what the other person is. Illegal immigrants, our enemies, people that vote differently than you do, people that are of a different race, people that are of a different sexual orientation, people that go to a different church or religion, every sinner and every saint.  We are called to be a servant of Love to every one of them.

We must give up and surrender all control, pride, earthly wisdom and power. We are too humble ourselves and become loving servants. A Servant that lets God shine through our words and actions.

The way up to victory is to go down on your knees to pray and wash another person’s feet.

Jeus said that they will know you are a disciple of mine if you show Love for all mankind.

The best way to show God to others is to live a life of love, forgiveness and kindness to every person in every situation.

The Fruit of the Spirit will change your life, your neighbor’s life and the nation.

Go Forth Today and be both a Lion and a Lamb to everyone.

Remember it is not a religion it is a relationship.

    Prayers and Love for all.
