Everything you do today is moving you toward alignment with God or away from Him.
There is no neutral ground or activity. Food affects the temple of God. What I watch or listen to affects the mind and attitude. I am either being drawn to God or being separated from Him by my actions and words.
Is the Fast-Food Culture damaging your walk with God?
My definition of Fast-Food Culture is a way of life defined by speed, standardization, low cost, and high convenience. Every one of these attributes is just the opposite of God’s design for a relationship with Him.
Fast-Food Culture is training your heart and mind to expect immediate results, shortcuts, and superficial comfort instead of deep Transformation.
Fast-food culture teaches people to demand “to have it hot and have it now”. Applied to faith, this creates frustration when prayers are not answered immediately or when spiritual maturity feels slow, it clashes with God’s design of patient growth, perseverance, and seasons of waiting.
Much like a drive-thru meal, a fast-food approach to religion looks for quick, easy formulas, simplistic soundbites, and a checklist of rules rather than the deep, unhurried study of Scripture and communion with God.
When you are too tired to cook from scratch, too busy to grow a garden, to worn out from the activity of daily life. You are also too tired to spend quality time with God. You say a quick prayer and maybe read one verse from your bible and then off you go to work or sleep.
In 1825 The French philosopher Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said, “The destiny of nations depends on the way they nourish themselves”.
This Statement is so true when you understand it in its entirety. He is not just talking about food. How we nourish our body and our minds is of the utmost importance. What we let into our minds. Quick sound bits, quick and short videos, reading only the titles, abbreviations of words or a quick artificial inelegance synopsis of a bible chapter. We just want a grab and go attitude instead of sitting at the feet of Jesus.
“Suffering, perseverance, character and hope.” Romans 5:4 NIV
Many of you just want to skip and go straight to Hope. You do not have the time for the steps God has ordained to get to Hope.
Fast-Food culture was designed by Satan to stop you from spending time with God.
If you’re eating in a fast-food restaurant, not only are you malnourishing yourself, but you’re also unwittingly digesting the values of the fast-food culture. Those values are becoming a part of you. Once those values become a part of you, they change you. You begin to have a different outlook on things, different cravings, different moral standards. Your desires and hunger are being programmed by this fast-food culture.
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Psalm 37:7 NIV
Abraham had to wait 90 years for a son. You have trouble waiting 90 seconds for food to cure your hunger.
You decided that waiting for the stove top burner to heat something up was taking too long, so you went and got a microwave.
That is one of the reasons the Antichrist will be so effective. He will tell you that there is a quick and fulfilling way to heaven if you just follow him. You don’t have to put any time in the garden growing a relationship with God. You can get there with a shortcut.
You no longer are interested in understanding the bible verses on planting, watering, and weeding. You just want to go straight to the florist and buy the finished product.
You are being set up and deceived every time you participate in any part of the Fast-Food culture. You are training your mind and heart to accept an unhealthy way of life.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 KJV
Today, spend hours in the garden growing your mind, body and soul. This is the only way to grow in your relationship with God.
Remember it is not a religion it is a relationship.
Prayers and Love for all mankind.
